Here is my trading journey (Slowly Updating..)
I will share more about my failing story and what I have reflected on, which is more important to see the improvement than to show off what I gain.
The Beginner
In 2017, I started my first purchase in Bitcoin, Ethereum and altcoins. As an economics student in high school, I would like to touch on the market which started my journey still then. I was all trading by guts feeling, FOMO and FUDS always happen. Even when I was watching a movie in Cinema on Friday after school, my friend called me 10+ times as the Ethereum dropped 10+ % in a single day. I bought many altcoins and ICO also, which most ICO go to nearly 0 USD.
You can see some positions were getting with the price of 20300 in Bitcoin which is a local top at that time.
After my public exam in 2019, I bought many books to read and started the equity market with HSBC, td ameritrade and Interactive broker in that summer by purely fundamental analysis. My worst experience is in 2020 March, $3175.hk which is Samsung Oil, I bought for 1 day after the oil went below 0 dollar. Before another day market open, that company roll over their futures and options to a longer expiry date futures and options, which the price gapped down 50% in 1 day.
Not only do I do on HK and US equity, I also saw the weakness of GBPUSD that time and converted a lot HKD to GBP to grab many oil-related stocks (Shell) in 2020 April, so that can earn from the stock price and the appreciation of GBPUSD.
In 2020, I used this account for a long-only investment position with a 5% allocation on commodities. Yet, I cashed out most in June 2021.
In Mid 2020, I changed from a fundamental investor to a futures trader in Crypto and HSI by techinal analysis , backtesting and quantitative analysis.

Strategy
A great strategy depends on Sharpe, Sortino, Calmar ratio in a large trading sample size
risk management
Risk is always defined in each trade. Plus when the asset volatility or MDD is larger, smaller lots should be used.
Review
Keep reviewing the strategies, are they within MDD or do the market nature have some changes?
Mental
Mental is the most important things overall.
My Goal
I want to get a spacious place to build a farm or a zoo to pet different animals. Playing with them and taking care of them the whole day will be amazing!
